Hushed Complaint

It’s now only a dream; that land of peace!
In this smoke of hatred, it’s hard to breathe.
Strange how humans can grow fangs,
Be hungry to spill blood of one of his kind;
To all the goodness, they turn blind.
A minor, a grown up, girl or a boy,
In an instant can be snatched their joy.
Safety appears to be a forgotten tale,
Evil walks amongst us, lurks in corners;
Screams are hushed, protests to no avail.
Dressed in a cloak of red, black and grey;
This world has turned into a tragic play
