Ruby Eyes

Another lowly blaze set by the tyrant
Burnt the riches of your heart
Your humble little sheltered tent
The jewels of your sparkly eyes
Now Rubies molten into blood
There were so many words to say
So many tales to tell
But dignity always stood
With the fierceness of Moses’ staff
A final blow had let the mountains ablaze
Blazing and fuming with ethos and norms
So wail you may, or stand with Pride
Close your drained eyes or leer with might
Douse the pyre, integrity upright, wreck the feigned divine
Take the fire, bereave and cry, and once more Ruby Eyes will shine
